We respond flexibly to the wishes and requirements of our customers. In the areas of porosity, creping, basis weight, longitudinal and transverse strength properties and filter effect, we can manufacture a product that precisely meets the customer's requirements.

The paper with the most efficient filter and absorption performance is the ZPT filter paper. It contains various alkali salts that absorb even more harmful substances. It is only used in premium cigarettes and, together with carbon paper, is one of the absolute specialty papers.

Biodegradable filter paper
Today's filters are mostly made of plasticized acetate fibres, also known as "bioplastics". They are non-biodegradable and contribute to the global waste problem with 5.7 trillion cigarette butts (175,000 tons) thrown away worldwide every year.
Swiss Quality Paper has come up with an innovative solution: We have developed a paper that is not only 100% biodegradable and compostable, but also has better filtration properties than acetate.
To date, our cigarette filter paper has mainly been used for specialty cigarettes and marketed accordingly.
The customer determines how strong the filtration properties of the paper should be. We can additionally influence the filtration properties with substances such as activated carbon and also cater to the most specific requirements.
In the areas of porosity, creping, basis weight, longitudinal and transverse strength properties and filter effect, we can manufacture a product that precisely meets the customer's requirements.
Our development, which we have driven forward together with manufacturers of special filters, has led to significant breakthroughs.
The novel product is now the subject of special cigarettes and test markets.
